Brookings-Harbor is located in the middle of "America's Wild Rivers Coast". Bordered by California to the South, Cape Sebastian headland to the North, the Siskiyou National Forest ( which includes the Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area ) to the East and the magnificent Pacific Ocean to the West. Due to its location, the Brookings-Harbor area enjoys unique, mild temperatures year round. It is referred to as the "Banana Belt" of the Oregon coast. Freezing temperatures are rare which makes the area "Home of Winter Flowers". Virtually all Easter Lily bulbs in North America are grown here.
